What Makes it Different
The HC100 frame is made from 7000-series multi-alloy aluminum. It is not painted. The raw finish is intentional: it shows the material, not a coating over cheaper metal.
Its lightweight aluminum frame keeps the chair portable while maintaining the stability needed for long days outdoors. The high-back design, breathable mesh panels, and reinforced structure are made for camping, hiking, festivals, beach trips, and everyday outdoor use.

Great Chair!
Great and comfortable chair, really relaxing and nice! -
Light, Sturdy, Comfortable - good buy
This TSE HC100 camping chair from Temple Street Equipment is a good buy at this price point. It's easy to put together and I didn't have to struggle to get the canvas on the pole frame. The poles are also good quality and set together quickly and easily. Once I sat in the chair I found the height is good and it's quite comfortable. It has built in arm flaps and a drink holder which are nice additions. There's also a drink holder included and a side pocket. The only slightly difficult thing about this chair was getting it back in it's bag. Aside from that it's lightweight, portable, looks good and is a solid purchase. -
Easy to use and light weight
The chairs are great and easy to set up and perfect for soccer games we bought them for. Light weight and I have used them for about two months now and they are holding up perfectly. Would highly recommend them -
Excellent Build Quality, Easy to Set Up!
I was worried it was too complicated to setup, but all the poles were built with tension rope and once you unfold, it fits all into place, didn't even need instructions (which are included anyway). The seat material is very durable, woven tight, and seemingly rip proof - holds a good amount of weight as well. Putting it all back together was simple as well, remove the seat material and unfold the poles, roll it up in the seat, and pop back in the case. Although not as simple as the easy pull out one piece seats, this one has a large beverage holder and is materially stronger - very lightweight overall too. Very comparable to REI-offerings. -
A sturdy, comfortable chair that works best when touching grass
We are currently replacing our camping chairs after a squirrel infestation in our previous deck box. The previous ones were just picked up in Aldi's aisle of shame. So my husband grabbed a couple of cheap fold-out ones from Menard's and I tried this one.We are not hard-core campers. We use these chairs mostly in the backyard and for 4th of July fireworks. This chair is pretty compact and should be easy to carry for its once-a-year trek.
When I first assembled this chair (inside), I was a little worried. It seemed to lean back a little too much to be comfortable. There was a bit of a bounce to the seat that I rather liked but felt unstable to my husband and daughter. Taking it outside and placing it on the lawn made a world of difference. It is much more upright and comfortable there, especially where our yard slopes a bit. You can see the difference in the angle in the picture of it on the deck versus it being on the grass.
The seat is pretty comfortable, especially when comparing it to the cheap chairs we just bought. The seat does curve a bit snuggly around your hips, but I thought it was fine. The cup holder just kind of hangs on the side and you need to make sure the little support at the top is pushed out or putting your drink back in becomes a two-handed operation. The can I had sat at a bit of an angle, which was fine except when it was still really full. It felt like any little bump could have caused it to spill.
Assembly is fairly easy. I included video of how the frame just pops together. Getting the chair pad can require taking the seat supports out of the frame temporarily and then pushing fairly hard to get them in tightly. I didn't get it in firmly enough one of the first times and the seat collapsed on me. Getting everything back in the bag isn't great, but it wasn't the worst. Part of this being compact is everything is in the bag pretty tightly. Overall, this is more involved than just unfolding a chair. If you need something that you can do one-handed, this might not be for you.
I like this chair. It's comfortable, compact, and seems pretty sturdy. I am not sure it will be my first pick to grab nor will we fight over who gets this one as the "good chair," but it certainly is a solid choice.

Novel Assembly
The chair arrived super fast. It comes with a carrying/storage bag which the disassembled chair actually easily fits into. The storage bag is made of a durable canvas material. The chair is pretty easy to set up. The entire frame is in multiple parts that are all bungeed together through the frame pieces themselves. Just pull one piece and insert into the piece it us corded together with. No guessing on which piece goes where as they are all connected already. But before putting together the frame, first slip the bottom of the canvas chair into the seat pieces BEFORE AND WHILE simultaneously inserting the back cubes together and slipping the canvas back of the seat onto the back frame. Sounds a bit complicated but it really isn't. Then when disassembling the chair for storage just reverse the procedure and pull apart all of the frame pieces and fold them up together and wrap it all up with the canvas seat. It's really very easy to do. Now, how does it fit? I am 5'8" and 175lbs and it is comfortable for me. Someone who nay be wider than me may have to squeeze into the seat. Someone smaller should have no issues. The chair is very stable when assembled. The canvas material is nice and durable. The only concern I have is how long will the bungee cords that tie it all together last. Bungee cord does eventually give up but judging by the quality of the rest of the parts I would say the cords are also of high quality. Finally, when it is all folded and stored up the bag has a well sewn canvas carrying handle and the entire thing weighs maybe 5 or 6 pounds. Now I just need another for my wife so we can each have one. Pricing? At $90 it may seem a bit on the high side, but it is all quality well built material and all of the seams are sewn very well.
